Get the education and experience out of the way first. Then start with the hardest part of the exam.

My best study tip is to learn from others who have taken the journey you are about to embark on (CPA Exam). You will learn the pros and cons of the journey. Then you will be able to access the best strategy that suits your ability/learning style. For example, another71.com is a excellent forum to learn and share with others.

It's always good to have a plan of course, but when I study sometimes I feel like its never going to end or I'm not really getting anywhere. I have found that if I make a to-do list for the day or week, its a really good feeling to cross things off that list. It makes it easier for me to see that I am making progress (and helps keep me on track).

My study tip–do non-stop MCQs. Unless you are one of those extremely talented/genius/MENSA people, the only way to learn all of the concepts and have them stick is through repetition of the MCQs.

Also, forget about your life. You cannot underestimate this exam! I graduated high school and college with honors (like I'm sure 95% of you probably did), and this exam has been no joke. I would say it's the first exam(s) I've had to put a lot of effort into, and even when I did I didn't always get a passing grade. The questions are set up to trick you–these are not the MCQs you saw and embraced in elementary school!

A tip is to so give yourself enough time to study and do MCQs over and over and over again. If you have a daily routine then don't sacrifice it just to study. Make sure you plan your day so that you won't miss your study time but also don't get behind in life. Also use the WTB and Ninja material

A study tip I find helpful is to pick different study spots. For example, if I have an entire day to study, I like to have 3 different sessions for studying; morning, afternoon, evening. I find having different study environments for each study session help me feel more refreshed/motivated each time rather than going to the same place over and over. Sometime by changing up locations, I find myself “feeling” that my morning study session was the day before when I'm studying in the evening. I mean this in a good way because I basically feel like I'm tricking my mind into thinking I haven't been studying that long for the day when indeed I have.
