My tip is to find the person who's job you want (maybe a partner) and imitate them to the best of your ability.

Whether studying for the test or going to a job interview or your current job…….

    DON'T BE OKAY WITH OKAY!

Easier said than done, especially if you are having to retake the exam as I am having to do. Take nothing for granted, and do not get stuck in a rut going thru the motions. This can lead to complacency and ultimately your downfall.

    DON'T BE OKAY WITH OKAY!

Also take a look at Quizlet.com as a study source!

    AUD 80

    BEC 79

FAR 71 (Waiting on scores from Jan)

    REG 66 (Retake Feb. 27)

Study Tips: Study every day whenever possible for at least 4 hours a day. When you get discouraged or feel like all you ever do is study for the exam, take a mini-break do something you enjoy doing for a little mental break. Also, visualize yourself passing the exam and the feeling of happiness when all the studying and testing is over with. Also, think positively — “You can pass the CPA exams!” 🙂

    Hi everyone!

After four CPA exam attempts, my main tips are the following:

    – Make a plan and stick with it

    – Discipline is the name of the game

    – Fifteen minutes of effective studying is better than mindlessly studying for thirty

    – Don't allow yourself to stress. Be realistic and set an exam date that you feel is plausible

Don't get discouraged, remember things happen in life and it tends to get in the way of our studying. Set a plan for yourself that is realistic. Remember to breath! Then just jump in and start fighting!

My study plan, watch the lecture, do the questions, read the section, rewrite or type the sections that don't make sense. Do more questions and more questions.

    AUD – 72, 71, 74, 4/3/14

    REG – 78

    FAR – TBD

    BEC – TBD

My best advice is the finding a place that you can study efficiently. For me, I like to study at a local University Library (one that I never attended and had never stepped foot on prior to studying for the CPA Exam). I go there all day Saturday and get more done this day than I ever thought possible.

Also, don't wear yourself thin. I have a time schedule that I try to stick to. Work sometimes throws this off when I work later than I originally planned, but give yourself at least “some” time that doesn't involve work or studying. My day is Friday. Friday for some reason psyches out everyone into thinking something fun is going to happen that day. You are often too distracted to study or too tired to want to read. Not studying on Friday also allows me to be in tip-top shape to study at that Library mentioned above Saturday morning.

My best CPA Exam study tip is to work practice questions! Over and over and over! It gets really old, but it's the best thing that helped me!
