Put in the time!!! You cannot decide you want to be a CPA and do it half way. Dedicate time during the day…every day…and study. I did it with a full-time job, 3 kids, and a wife. It can be done!

Best advice I have is make sure you immerse yourself in your studying. NO TV/LAPTOP in the background, it is really easy to get distracted. Be honest with yourself on your studying and don't try to take shortcuts, it is reflected on the exam how much studying you actually put in!

If you are a visual learner like me then my best CPA Exam tip is to tape big sheets of drawing paper on a blank wall (or long closet door) with the most important formulas, mnemonics or charts to it so that you can stand back and review them over and over again as you add them to the sheets. I highlight is the title of topic and will sometimes use a different color sticky note to write on then stick it to the sheet. The great thing about this is that even if you're too tired to open up your books, notes or laptop, you can pull up a chair or stand back and review the “CPA Wall”. You can do it before bed, in the morning or while you eat a bowl of cereal.

My useful tip is this: If you face the scariest and most difficult things in life FIRST, they suddenly become a lot less scary and a lot less difficult. It's like a magic trick that works every time.

    REG - PASSED
    BEC - PASSED
    AUD - PASSED
    FAR - PASSED

    DONE. 🙂

Before you go sit for an exam section, do at least 2 sets of mock exams set up just as actual ones.

I am sure it will help A LOT! Good luck!

Build extra time into your study plan. Build in a week or two extra time before you begin studying a section and a week or two at the end for review. Doing this will allow for some cushion if life gets in the way.

One of the best tip about interviewing is eating oatmeal before your interview. It will calm you down. When it comes to interviews, I always get nervous. After listeniong to John tesh on the radio, I tried it and it worked for me. It does not hurt to try :).
