Study tip – what helped me was finding different ways to process the CPA exam information, i.e. using flashcards, handwritten notes, and listening to the audio. Listening to the audio gave me a chance to review in the car as I drove to work. It was nice to not intently focus while driving, but I was still able to pick up on few things I hadn't before.

One point that I picked up myself is do NOT get discouraged. I found myself getting discouraged when I first started studying FAR. Surround yourself with support and positive thinking. Once you pass, you feel as though you can take on anything.

I got the most studying accomplished when I had a plan. I had the number of hours I was going to study and exactly what sections/topics to cover each day. I knew if studied according to my plan I would be prepared on exam day.

Do the MCQ's as many times as possible! It's what worked the best for me!

My study tip is just to do as many multiple choice questions as possible, whenever possible. And I personally took a long time between each section, but that doesn't work for everyone. I just wanted to be as familiar with the section as possible before I took the test, but of course, you never feel ready for it!

My #1 tip is….just do it!! We can all find 101 other things we could be doing instead of studying but that just leads to a longer study period and not being prepared when the time comes. It is no fun to have to spend every free minute studying but the sooner you get them passed, the sooner it will all be over with!

First you have to ask yourself if you are willing to put your life on hold until you pass the exam. Passing this exam definitely requires a huge commitment! Then once you commit to take the exam, set up a study schedule and STICK TO IT. Make the most of your time, carry flashcards with you at all times. A few minutes here and there help. I have an app on my phone, computer and tablet, so study material is always available. Study, Study and more Studying.

I have this posted on my computer:
