Take the exam as soon as you can straight out of college. Write and rewrite notes…… do multiple choice questions until you can't do them anymore. …. then do some more.

Never give up and really stick on your study plan. Even though at the beginning it may be hard for you to really get into the materials cuz you don't understand, just keep doing it…and repeat the materials when you check your questions… you'll get it…

My best study tip is to learn how to integrate your studies into your daily schedule without sacrificing important aspects of your life. Get your priorities in check. You don't stop being a mom/dad, spouse, daughter/son because you're studying for the CPA exam. I personally think that you'd be able to study better if the rest of your life is in order.

my best tip for studying for the CPA exam: stop comparing your progress with someone else's! just because they could finish it within half a year on their first try doesn't mean you are any lesser of a candidate for taking much longer and/or retaking sections multiple times. your situation is independent of others so keep your chin up! because in the end, we all have the same goal and that is to pass the exam and have a better future! 🙂

When I am burnt out, I get motivation and inspiration from athletes. They have great quotes and interviews(they are usually shorter so they won't interrupt your study).

Watching Olympic makes me realize that they don't always enjoy going around the circles on the ice over and over to finish 2 seconds faster, skating to the same'ol song, jumping the same jump, day in and day out.

So doing MCQ multiple times is a great brain excersize. It trains your brain to the point it feels natural.

A lot of athletes made a lot of mistakes. They rarely got it right the first time, or every time.

If you pass with the first attempt, it's great. If not, it's still ok. Just keep trying 🙂

Have a plan. If possible, have a study partner. If I stick to my study schedule I take Friday nights off. And I study with a co-worker on Sundays. Since misery loves company, it helps to have someone I work with to complain to!

My advice is to just keeping doing multiple choice questions but don't always do them in order. The best way to test whether you know something is by doing them in random order so you don't just remember the last topic you studied.

Don't slack off. Remember there is an end but treat yourself once in while!
