Study hard all day every day but don't forget to enjoy yourself from time to time. Make getting this CPA your #1 priority and everytime you don't want to study think about how much more you're gonna have to study if you have to retake. Not studying for that extra hour or two the day before your exam could lead to you having to restudy the entire section for 1-2 months. Don't waste time give it your all and get this done.

Power through the negative thoughts, feeling tired, and frustration. You are strong. You can do it….all night long…studying that is.

For the CPA, you really need to learn how to say “No!” You simply cannot do everything while studying for the exam. Chances are you'll slack in your relationship with friends and family. You might not eat as healthy of foods as you would like. You might exercise minimal amounts, or even not at all. You'll have to turn down many social activities. But if you go into this with the mindset that you need to focus on the CPA (and work) for just a short time in the whole scheme of things, you will perform better. If you try to still keep up with everything, your scores will suffer and only prolong the time that it takes you to complete all 4 parts. So, say no to everything but the exam. Once you pass, use your time however you like!

    Best tip:

Don't try to fit too many tests into a short period of time(window), just to get the exams completed. This could set yourself up for failure…spending more money on more exam fees and lost time in the exam process.

Take your time. Study hard for each test knowing that you can do it and pass each one in their own time. Allot enough time (knowing your own strengths and weaknesses) to each section, to get it done.

Keep your eye on the prize and don't let anyone try to tell you that you should quit because you have failed!!

    Useful Tip:

Stay in the office and study in your cube. You'll be free from distractions at home, such as your TV, family, friends, and bed (my favorite). Have a calendar with what you set out to study and stick to it as best as possible.

Also, don't waste a testing window, every window counts 🙂

CPA study tip – don't move on to the next section, unless you are fully comfortable with the section you've completed. If you don't build a strong foundation, your house will be blown in 5 mph winds.

I'm currently taking auditing class in college and we are using Gleim. My study tip is: rewrite the notes for every study unit, take the practice quizzes and write down the MCs i got wrong. I find rewriting notes really helpful; i tend to look at the notes and not learning anything if i don't write it down.
