    Create a study calender and always stick with it. Take at least ONE day off from studying each week, and use that day as a catch up day if needed.

    Good luck everyone!

    My study tip, which is probably a repeat, is, be realistic with your study schedule and goals. You'll see people here can that study for 4 weeks, work full-time and pass with a 99. We're all different. You know yourself the best, if you need more time, then take more time. it's better to pass the first time the right way.

    AUD - 65, 89!
    REG - 70, 89!
    FAR - 78!
    BEC - 77!

    Finally!

    My tip is to really understand the textbook as opposed to memorizing multiple choice. I know it sounds simple but the first time I took the CPA I took REG and I relied so much on the multiple choice. Don't get me wrong, the multiple choice is important. But what is more important is understanding the question and the answer. For instance, would you have been able to answer the question if you weren't given four choices? After I failed the first time with a 72, I have made it a concerted effort to make sure I understand the textbook better. Since then I have gotten a 91 on REG and a 87 on AUD. Hopefully this will continue when I take FAR in about a month.

    My advice is to parents who have full time jobs and are trying to take the CPA exams;

    If your work normal hours 8AM- 5PM, M-F; when you get off work, hang with your kids, eat dinner and let everyone go to bed by 9PM. Set your alarm for 2AM to study for 3-4 hrs daily. Take breaks before each module or topic and write a brief summary of your last topic as if you were going to present it to a group. Take a practice test (if you have access to any test banks) on that topic the next day to reinforce what you’ve studied. This helps me remember important concepts; I hope this will help someone who has a demanding job, family and is still trying to get certified like I am.

    The thing that has helped me the most in studying was realizing that 2 hours a day for 5 days is NOT the same as 10 hours in 1 day. When I put my solid two or three hours in each morning I focus on learning new material and when I study in very large blocks of time on the weekends I spend the time both rewriting notes and doing multiple choice questions and other review items.

    Anyway, to wrap it up my overall tip is to really pay attention to your ‘study personality' and adjust your study plan around how you study and how you yourself can get the most out of it. Get in a groove. Remember, you need quantity AND quality in your study time!

    Oh, and Jeff, I am completely a ‘lurker.'

    My best tip will be to start studying in not more than a month to your exam. I work full time, and have two very active small children, a dog and a 24 hours working husband. So what i figured is if you allow yourself too much time , eventually you will forget everything you learned in a beginning, plus you end up spending your time on something else but not studying. I know a month doesn't seem like a lot, but if you read the textbook in 2.5 weeks you will still have 2 weeks to go over practice questions. I also came to a conclusion that doing practice questions give you much more than re-reading the textbook.

    AUD-75 YAY!!!!
    REG-81
    FAR- 73; 76-Feb.2014( Praise God!!!!!!!)
    BEC- 73,65,78 and I am DONE!!!!!

    The best study tip I could provide is to listen to the audio tips as you drive. By doing so your brain will remember to the tips as you see them during your other study times.
