My personal best advice is time management. Setup a schedule with deadlines for milestones on studying certain chapters, practice problems, takes notes, and flash cards. My personal routine is wake up, Ninja Flash cards in bed for 10 minutes, drive to/from work listening to Ninja Blitz, and setting time aside everyday for minimum 50 practice problems. In our day of technology, all the tools for study are at my fingertips on the iphone and ipad.

Thank you Jeff for your continued support to all of us and an extra sweet incentive reward for staying on track!

Focus on one topic at a time and rework the multiple choice questions on that topic until you can get all of those questions correct!

Make a study planner and stick to it. Do MCQ over and over again. If you are studying with a partner, try to explain the topic to him/her and see how much you actually understand it.

Tip for everyone out there setting their foot for the first time in accounting field (internship, co-op, first full-time job): Try to be a INDEPENDENT, PROACTIVE employee, by which I mean BE AN INDEPENDENT, PROACTIVE EMPLOYEE.

No matter how much your boss tells you that they have an “open door” policy, try to take extra time learning the rules and procedures about how to carry out your work duties yourself and only ask for help if you have hit an absolute dead-end. That's not to say you spend hours trying to find solutions for a 15 min task, but the point is to appear independent and self-sustained, especially if you are working for a Big 4. Everyone adores the employee who is independent and can excel on their own.

Also, don't sit at your desk and wait for the work to be given to you. Impress bosses by knocking on their doors to see if they need any help whenever you have free time. Be proactive and reach out to anyone and everyone you feel comfortable reaching out to, and offer them your help with their work (Even if you are new and think you can't help much, you have to start somewhere) >> Especially if you are in a Big 4.

If you are not confident, APPEAR CONFIDENT (Just don't be cocky)

Advice: Stay focused, and stay true to yourself. Hate to borrow this from Adidas, but Impossible is Nothing. So many here have finished and been successful. Trust the notes and other ninjas here! No need to be a lurker – get in and be proactive about questions you may have, and people are more than willing to help.

My study tip is to break the materials down. fyi FAR is a huge section of material that needs to be digested. Take a module at a time. Use the Wiley test bank and do 10-20 mc questions until you have answered they all. Then move to the next module. Once you have covered 4-5 module then start doing 25-30 mc questions over them. Continue till all modules are a snap.

My tip to prepare for the CPA exam is doing MCQ's, after doing MCQ's, ensure you UNDERSTAND the reason for the incorrect and correct answer. Create charts with topics to compare topics and document similarities and differences. Go back to prior topics if you find yourself reading about a topic already studied. Create a recap before you continue on the new topic and take the last two weeks before the exam for review all significant doubts.

NEVER GIVE UP!!! Write down on you study desk or your bedroom wall I'm going to be a CPA.
