my exam tip is to give it your all while you study and then in your break or your set family time to fully focus on that- be fully focused on whatever you are supposed to be doing and this way you hopefully will not get burned out! good luck everyone!!!!

A good CPA exam tip is to do as many MC questions as possible and give yourself enough time to review all of the material before the exam date.

My study tip is to constantly revisit prior material so that the small topics stay fresh in your mind. Also, give yourself ample time to study for each exam. Yes, it's nice to get them done as fast as possible, but you also want to PASS as fast as possible.

My study tip involves keeping a work-study-life balance as much as possible. Perhaps, after a disciplined week of hard work, reward yourself with Friday night off or study for 6 hours during the day on Saturday so you can go watch a movie in the evening. For me, closing myself off to those types of breaks causes mental breakdowns and makes prolonged studying more difficult than it already is.

Tip for passing the cpa exam – Chart out an effective study plan for yourself based on how much time you can devote per day and discipline yourself to stick to it like how you would prepare for school exams (try hard not to divert yourself during that time). Get the help of someone who is interested in your success, maybe your loved one. Make them randomly question you on the topics that you studied on a particular day and grade your performance. Give yourself a reward if you are making progress once a week so that you maintain the momentum. Once you are very confident of all the topics, take practice exams as many as you can in order to check if you are able to finish the exam in the stipulated time, evaluate your answers and focus more on your weaker sections.

The best exam tip I can share is to plan your study time. Sticking to the plan is as important as having a plan itself.

My plan includes downtime so I don't get too burned out. I find that after a relaxing break, I'm eagerly back into study mode again.

Do not get stuck in a chapter if you are having difficulty understanding or getting the questions incorrect. Keep moving and stay on schedule! If you don't keep moving, you will get behind. Just make a list of your weak areas and go back to them during your final review. Otherwise, you will definetely come up short because you fell behind.

My advice for studying CPA is simple: start early and study hard (or not that hard, but at least finish majority of the contents even if just listening to lectures) for the 1st time, and put aside the final week before exam to scan the whole material for a general idea (maybe to generate some easy-to-get notes too). In my opinion, CPA exams are about broad coverage rather than much depth into the knowledge. Learn the material twice – one in details and one in general – can give you pretty good impression and confidence on the exams.

I am a full-time student right now and some school courses may help me pass. If you work full time I suggest separating study contents into small pieces and take them down a little bit EVERYDAY, even it's only 10 minutes. Thus I recommend Ninja flashcard (thanks Jeff for the $1 flashcard deal a few days ago!). It really helps utilizing piecemeal time on the study.

Finally one small tip: when you sit there and take the exam, make sure you do a good job on the very 1st section. It really matters when it comes to the final score. Not only it might decide whether you'll get more difficult problems in later sections, but also by making it good helps build confidence in the battle field.

Speaking of career – I think it would be much easier to get a job in public accounting industry when you pass all 4 CPA exams, right? I know a lot corporations value CPA certificate highly too when it comes to recruiting.

    So, wish everyone good luck!
