No matter what study material you are using, for AUD, I highly recommend you buy the Wiley test bank as a supplement and go through every question. Then repeat with all the questions you got wrong at least once, then just repeat questions until your exam.

Study Tip: If you are using the Ninja Notes and Audio:

    1. Retype the notes in word format

    2. As you are doing MCQs/SIMs, add explanations to your ninja notes adding to the different topics/cateogories

    a. If you are crunched on time only add the explanations on MCQs that you are really weak on (e.g. internal control)

    3. Retype or rewrite the ninja notes as per Jeff to really get familiar with the material – do it 2 or 3 times

    a. Even if you do not have a finished product, email yourself those notes and reread what you just added to your notes, during your lunch break (assuming that you have a smart phone).

    4. Listen to your audio everyday, even if you zone out, you will hear his voice sometimes during the MCQs when something familiar comes up

    5. Concentrate on your weakest subject until it becomes second nature, but do not ignore your strong subject either

My advice while studying is to take care of yourself during your preparation. Make a little time to exercise, and try to eat nutritious foods. I found that this kept my energy and focus up. Even if it is just a 10-minute walk, some physical exercise will improve your mood and focus. In addition, MPQ, but take the time to understand not only the ones you get wrong, but also the ones you got right and had to guess or choose between 2 answers. It helped me to break down my practice quizzes into 10 or 20 questions at a time, so I would have more time to go back and immediately review the questions. Five question quizzes were perfect for the commute to and from work, or during a break at work. Good luck!

    Exam tip.

When you get your boards for notes at the exam. Write down just your mnemonics before you start answering questions. Then as you get to a applicable question fill in the whole mnemonic. This also helps you think through the question. Along with this. USE MNEMONICS!!!!

Make your own notes and do lots of MCQs for better understanding of any concept. I found that sometimes I understand the underlying concept better when I do MCQs rather than just reading the material.

Best study tip I can give is to stick to a plan. Be organized in your studies and best of all-do not give up. If you are dedicated, you will pass.

Rewrite every MCQ you get wrong with the correct answer and listen to lectures while checking email.

Work MCQ's and simulations until you are blue in the face! I've had several almost identical questions/sims on my actual exams. Hard work pays off!

I have found that rewriting the Ninja notes after watching each video module works well for me. I rewrite them again closer to the test date as well. I am in my 30ā€™s and graduated college a couple years ago, the older I get the harder time I have to remember things.

And, if next time when I walk into a testing center knowing Iā€™m going to get a 65ā€¦I will shell out the $35 to push the exam back a couple of weeks.
