    Here is my study advice:

    1. Study with a partner – it holds you accountable when you want to give up and you can each help each other learn the tough sections.

    2. Get up every hour to walk or stretch – this stimulates the brain with oxygen and enables you to retain more. (We do flash cards or discuss a topic while walking around.)

    3. After every 3rd chapter, go back to review from the very beginning. We study every 5th question in our study bank questions during a review and mark the ones that give us pause. The next time we review a new set of questions we also add in the ones marked for review.

    4. Give yourself at least 2 weeks to review and take practice exams before going to sit. Make sure you are very comfortable with the material so it reduces your anxiety levels.

    Hope this helps!

My biggest tip regarding the accounting profession is to be willing to stick your neck out there to prove that you can do something. Job need done? Step up. More hours needed? Put them in. It will be recognized and rewarded at some point down the line.

The best CPA Exam tip – Make goal and try your best to stick to goal and never give up. If you keep trying and put in your best efforts you will pass.

I am still studying for my cpa exams and use this tip for myself.

My study tip: find a study buddy. Make a schedule and stick to it….You will pass, I know because I've done it. Everytime I study with someone, I will pass that part and so will they….Good Luck, take one day off a week to relax also.

My exam tip. I find that by the time I get home from work I am exhausted from sitting in traffic for an hour and working all day. I do have a bit of energy when 5pm comes around so I actually stay at work and study for 2 – 3 hours and then take the ride home. I sometimes bring extra snacks or dinner to work so I am not hungry while I study. When I leave there is no traffic and when I get home I feel great that I just got in 2-3 hours of studying and I can have the rest of the night to myself.

My best study advice is to never give up on your plan. This will take a lot of sacrifice and stick with it no matter how hard it maybe because it will pay off. I would suggest taking an exam on a Monday in order to have the whole weekend to review if possible

Study Tip: If you are using the Ninja Notes and Audio:

    1. Retype the notes in word format

    2. As you are doing MCQs/SIMs, add explanations to your ninja notes adding to the different topics/cateogories

    a. If you are crunched on time only add the explanations on MCQs that you are really weak on (e.g. internal control)

    3. Retype or rewrite the ninja notes as per Jeff to really get familiar with the material – do it 2 or 3 times

    a. Even if you do not have a finished product, email yourself those notes and reread what you just added to your notes, during your lunch break (assuming that you have a smart phone).

    4. Listen to your audio everyday, even if you zone out, you will hear his voice sometimes during the MCQs when something familiar comes up

    5. Concentrate on your weakest subject until it becomes second nature, but do not ignore your strong subject either

No matter what study material you are using, for AUD, I highly recommend you buy the Wiley test bank as a supplement and go through every question. Then repeat with all the questions you got wrong at least once, then just repeat questions until your exam.
