My cpa exam tip is to never give up. You may fail a section or 2 and get discouraged, but stick w/ it.

I failed AUD 4 times before finally passing, and lost.my FAR credit, but now i am done!

Keep a positive attitude & stay motivated. This can be done.

    FAR - 1/26/2012 - PASSED (78, but Lost credit), re-do 11/27/2013 - PASSED (87)!
    AUD - EPIC FAIL, 71, 69; 68; 5/25/2013 - PASSED (85)!
    REG - 10/1/2012 - 72; 7/1/2013 - 73 UGH, 10/1/2013 - PASSED (85)!
    BEC - 2/28/2013 - PASSED (82)!
    Licensed CPA!

Used Becker self-study materials (just this for FAR original & REG #1), WileyTestBank, NINJA notes/audio, and Roger cram course for AUD #5, REG #3 & FAR reboot. CPA!

Don't put off taking the exam! Start as soon as you can, and even better if it's before you start working. Studying is a bummer, but it's much easier to devote the time when you aren't working. Give yourself time to become comfortable with the material, cramming is not the key to passing.

    REG: 86
    AUD: 92
    FAR: 84
    BEC: 87
    Ethics: Passed!
    Licensed 11/20/12

When you get a homework MCQ wrong, work through the problem until you understand it before moving on.

Make sure you understand the whole cap process before proceeding to study. Know how to sign up yo take the exam, what's tested etc

    FAR:TBD
    REG:TBD
    AUD:TBD
    BEC:TBD

I am using Becker self study, ninja blitz and Wiley (I am using the paperback version of the testbank)

    Brief overview of study method:
    1. Skim through chapter quickly
    2. Watch lecture videos
    3. Take a lot of notes on what the lecturers emphasize
    4. Complete half HW after lectures half after rewriting notes

My best CPA exam study tip would be to study at the same place as much as you can, AWAY FROM YOUR RESIDENCE (way too many possible distractions). More specifically, the local college library (they have quiet floors and promote studying, public libraries promote chaos.) Use the same seat. Get annoyed if someone else is sitting there. This will help your routine more than you know it.

    Licensed Florida CPA:
    B: 71, 73, 79
    A: 83
    R: 78 (expired), 77
    F: 74, 74, 80

    It's finally freaking over.

My best study tip would be to make a plan and stick to it. Review each section then keep working the multiple choice questions over and over again.

Career Tip- If you are trying to get a job at any of the Big 4, try to reach out before recruiting season and meet with some professionals at the firm. Offer to take them to coffee and ask them questions about what they do and how they like it. Most people love telling you about what they do and it will help get you exposure to the firm. Also, when recruiting season comes around, they will be more likely to vouch for you to the recruiters.

My best tip would be to not psych yourself out. I've felt underprepared going into each section that I've taken, but I've also come to terms with the fact that it is nearly impossible to know everything that is going to be thrown at you. Be confident in what you know and go into your exam with a clear head and a positive attitude!

    REG - 1/12/14 - 78
    BEC - 2/23/14- 74, 5/29/14- 84!! I'm Done!!
