My CPA exam tip is to peak at the right time. Burn outs happen if you push yourself too hard too early. Pacing is crucial so you retain more when close to the exam day

Make sure that you research and learn about different study programs and see which one will work best for you based on what type of learner you are. I made this mistake by choosing the wrong program at first and unfortunately I paid for it in time, money and exam scores.

Also make sure that you give yourself enough time between each section to properly study and learn the material. I learned the hard way about this since you now have to pay an extra fee for each test and they give you a discount for the more tests you schedule at a time so it sounds like a great deal, but the truth is that you will probably not be able to properly study for each section in the time that is alotted per NTS.

    My study tips:

    1. Devote the time … I know it sounds simple, but it is seriously my biggest hurdle. Carving out regular time to devote to studying.

    2. Find a place with minimal distractions.

    3. Create a routine.

I try not to talk about my exam with coworkers, family members, or friends. For me, it added a huge amount of pressure. I hated explaining that I had not passed a section to people that have no idea what it is like to take the exam. Also, repetition and note cards are huge. Good Luck!

I've passed 3/4 in one window and there really isn't any study method. It's impossible to remember all the material so I just kept cramming MCQ's all day long. I believe I did 200-300 MCQ a day for about 3 weeks for FAR, 2 weeks for AUD, 3 weeks for REG. Oh and definitely get Ninja Audio and listen to it on your commutes to work/school, etc. Key is repetition and believe me some questions you study will pop up on your exam. Sooooo… GL!! Buckle up and just keep doing the questions!!

    My exam tip:

Do lots of MCQs, but also familiarize yourself with the exam format. Since it's timed, you want to make sure you allocate enough time to cover the 3 testlets and the simulation or written portion, depending on which exam you are taking.

Establish your goal, make a plan to achieve that goal and don't let anything or anyone distract you from working the plan. This worked particularly well for me in passing the CPA exams and will work in other facets of life not related to accounting.

Study in small chunks, and give yourself breaks… but reasonably. You need a reward system where you can study for 1 hour and give yourself like a 5 min break. I went for like 3 hours once, and then felt like I forgot everything I studied.
