Ditch Lecture Videos if you know you aren't even paying attention to them. They will be wasting your time. Also, invest in Ninja Audio if you are a commuter.

Just stick with it. Sometimes life happens and you won't get your scheduled amount, or maybe even any, study time in. Start again the next day and get right back with it. If you let it slide more than a day or two, it just becomes really hard to start again.

The most beneficial career advice I have and what I try to live by is to keep life in perspective. We spend the vast majority of our lives working – whether that be at the office or away from the office – and we tend to lose sight of a bigger picture. Our career is part of our life not our entire life. We need to take time to do things we enjoy doing, whether that be spending time with family, relaxing, or spending time outdoors. That is not to say you should lose sight of your professional goals, but rather to not let them completely overcome your life. We can at times become somewhat “institutionalized” and let the stresses and culture of work dictate our lives and happiness. We need not be reluctant to change if we see a better opportunity for our sanity and future. After all, that's why we're pursuing a CPA, right?!? That being said – stop reading these posts and get back to studying!!! 🙂

The best study tip I can give for FAR is to make as many flash cards as you can. This is an exam that just has too much information, and a lot of detail, so if you can first try to understand the concept, and then just memorize certain details, you will be successful.

The best study tip I could give is to work all the test bank multiple choice questions taking notes when you get them wrong. Once you have worked them all go back and work only the ones you got incorrect until you score in the 80's. Do not waste time going through the ones you got correct. The week before the exam then you can rework all the questions in blocks as if you were taking the exam. This is what helped me best manage my study time to be most effective.

Create organized notes so that when it comes time to do final review, they can be easily referenced.

    FAR- PASSED (11/13)
    REG- PASSED (2/14)
    BEC- PASSED (5/14)
    AUD- PASSED (8/14)

If it's important to you, you will find a way. If it isn't, you will find an excuse.
