Best study tip is to do as many MCQ as you possibly can before the exam.

My best study tip is: take no days off! Dedicate yourself. Even on those days that you don't feel like studying, still put the hours in. Even if you are somewhat distracted, 1 hour > 0 hours.

My best tip is to make a study calendar and stick to it.

Before I study for a new section I create a calendar starting the next day until test day. On each day, I write attainable goals such as “work all module 5 MCQs and make detailed notes” or later on in the study process “rewrite module 1 and 2 Notes”

Two days before test day I write down “final review” to tell myself to review every section. Test day itself is written in red with the exam time.

I put the calendar where I can see it next to my study material and when I am done at the end of the day I draw a line through that box as a countdown.

This keeps me accountable, many times I have worked ahead of my schedule but never behind.

    3XBEC:75 * 4XREG:82 * 4XFAR:76 * 7XAUD:77

I've been studying for my first exam (FAR) for the past 6 weeks. My best advice would be to definitely put together a study plan for each day, even for your rest days. Don't feel bad if you fall behind due, just keep pushing yourself and know that you can get through it. Studying takes a lot of sacrifices, but it is okay to allow yourself a couple of hours a week to hang out with family and friends.

    For working moms:

Spend time with your family at night and wake up at 3 am every other day to study.

My best tip for studying would be to make sure you utilize your allocated “study time” to study. I can't tell you how many times I sat down to study and then 45 minutes later I was still checking email, Facebook, news, etc. I got so fed up with my own lack of self control and focus that I downloaded an extension for google chrome. There are a few, but the one I chose was “StayFocused”. After you download it, you set up your preferences – you can limit your time on certain websites to X hours a day, or you can set it up where you can click a button and everything is blocked for the next hour. I decided that with emails going straight to my phone anyway, I only really ever needed an hour a day to accomplish what I wanted to online. If I started getting distracted and going online, after that hour was up (cumulative in a 24 hour period) I would be denied access to any website at all. I had Becker and Wiley downloaded to my computer, but if you dont you can put them on a list of “allowed sites”. Sure there are ways to get around it, and still peruse the web, but for the most part it's enough to keep you focused and remind me you how much time you're potentially wasting.

I am working full time and for people like me who do not have plenty of time for study, I would say just skip the text book, just read NINJA notes and do MCQ on Wiley test bank. Then review questions you didn't get correct the first time, read notes again, and do the same questions again. Rinse and repeat.

    FAR - 76...PASSED (NOV 2013)
    BEC - 86...PASSED (MAY 2014)
    AUD - 85...PASSED (OCT 2014)
    REG - 81...PASSED (NOV 2014)
    Ethics - 100% DONE!!!

Becker Final Review (book/lecture), NINJA Notes, Wiley Test Bank.

The best tip I know is the one I learned from these forums: Make a Study Plan and hold yourself accountable to it! If you don't have a plan, you're setting yourself up for frustration and failure. But that's not enough. You need to keep yourself on track and follow your plan! If you stick to the plan, you set yourself up for success!
