My study tip is to focus on the present moment when you are studying. Take a series of deep breaths and focus on Right Now. Make the best of the two hours and when you are done, go home and do the same thing with your wife, kids, work, personal life etc.

Best advice I can say is to give yourself plenty of time to study. Rome was not built in a day and even a blitz or cram week, 2 weeks, whatever will not be enough. You need to plan out a schedule and allow for breaks along the way, there is simply too much information and detail to be able to grasp everything on a “short-term cram session” basis. You need time to digest things and then more time for repetition to make them take hold.

    Exam tip:

Do not take extra time on any test-let …because by the end you are too stressed out to think and do the right answers in a hurry…and keep at least 2 min break time before you start the simulation …to pray or cry and let it out …

My best CPA exam tip would be to fully dedicate yourself to it. Dedication is key to CPA exam success. I learned the hard way. All my failing grades were due to lack of dedication. Once I realized that was my problem, I started passing!

Also, invest in NINJA study materials! The notes are great, especially if you re-write them! The audio is wonderful if you have a commute to and from work every day. And the flashcards are a different way to jog your memory. Buy them, you won't regret it!

    FAR: 65, 77!
    AUD: 72, 72, 80!
    REG: 64, 84!
    BEC: 83!
    Ethics: 98!

The best study advice I can give is to find a quiet place to study. For me, it is difficult to find time to study, so I want to make sure I am making the best use of the time I have available.

I initially tried watching all the lectures and going through the book with them and found I mostly zoned out. Instead I've found it to be much more effective to do the MCQs over and over taking the time to read the explanation for the right answer even if you got it correct!! I also have the ninja notecards on my phone and use them whenever I have a free minute…waiting rooms, checkout lines, etc!!

The best tip that I have is not to try to study for too long without taking a break. I study for 5 hours on Saturday and Sunday. Personally, I know that my focus is limited to 5 hours and time spent after 5 hours is just wasted because my focus is gone. I cringe when I see that people plan to study for 7-8 hours in one day. I know that this would not be an effective route for me, but I guess everyone is different.

My study tip is to break up your study routine. Study a little in the morning, at lunch and after work. That why you are constantly learning but don’t overwhelm yourself with a ton of information.
