My study tip is to make sure that you are taking care of yourself, both physically and mentally. For me, when I get stressed it really, really helps to go sweat it out and get some endorphins flowing. Working out is my therapy and helps keep me sane at stressful times in my life such as studying for the CPA exam and working at a CPA firm during “the season”. I always feel much more focused and ready to attack those tough topics after hitting the gym. So instead of taking a break and watching TV or eating junk food, go for a walk or hit the treadmill! Trust me it is worth it!

My study tip would be to give yourself enough time. I have made the mistake of thinking I can get thru the material in just a few weeks and I was terribly wrong! I concur with most of the posts here, do as many MCQ as you possibly can squeeze in, but don't just do them to do them, really understand why the answer is the right answer and I know you can pass!

Also it has really helped me to create my own flashcards, not use pre-printed ones. The more you re-write the material the better it will stick in your head!!!!

    GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE HERE!

    B EC - 76
    A UD - 70, 68, 75!
    R EG - 83
    F AR - 75

If I can do it, so can you!

My CPA exam tip is to set realistic goals for yourself. I'm working crazy hours (and have been since September or so), so I plan to do 1 Becker lecture a week so that I don't overwhelm myself and then have 2 solid weeks of review before the exam. I'd love to get it done more quickly, but ensuring I have adequate time to prepare is better than a retake!

    BEC: 84 (Becker Self-Study, WTB)
AUD: 97 (Becker Self-Study, Ninja Audio, WTB)
REG: 73 (CPAExcel), 85 (Becker Self-Study, Ninja Audio, WTB)
    FAR: May 5(Becker Self-Study, WTB)

My career advice tip is that you always should be yourself. Don't hide anything about yourself because it could be the determining factor one way or the other and save you from a bad situation.

I was given a job not because I had the experience, but my dynamic fit the office setting that they were looking for.

    A- 53, 55
    B- Passed!
    F- Not Yet Taken
    R- 1/17/2015

My best tip is to do the multiple choice questions until you can't stand them anymore. But force yourself not to be on autopilot and think about why the answer is what it is.

don't get discouraged. there are some good cpa's that took several attempts and some crappy ones that nailed it on the first try.

Keep doing wiley multiple choice questions, at least 2 times, then review the notes, hopefully it's highlighted, then you are good to go! believe yourself, not that hard to pass actually, only 75% is needed:)

The best tip I have is to take your time studying. When you feel rushed and you're studying last minute, you don't retain the information as well. I took all four sections studying for them in two weeks, not NEAR enough time. I have taken a month to a month and a half to study now and have already passed two sections! I take my time and actually read, learn, and retain! Give yourself enough time to study all the material, then enough time to REVIEW. I think the amount of time you spend reviewing is key. 🙂
