My exam tip would be to get through all of the mandatory multiple choice questions from your review material. Going over them more than once will greatly help!

Study/Life Tip: Compartmentalize and make a schedule. Focus on the CPA when you are studying and focus on work/class/life/etc. when you aren't. You will drain yourself if you try to study or think about the CPA all day every day and everything else you are doing will suffer. Keep your mind on task of whatever it is you are doing at that moment

Career tip wise, the biggest thing I think I could stress is NETWORK. Networking opens doors and leads to the bigger and better jobs… it's all in who you know

I would suggest to tell your loved ones that you won't be the best friend/family member for a few months but once it is over it is worth it. You have to focus on the exam and only the exam and cannot handle any outside distractions if you want to maximize your time studying. Get it done sooner rather than later, as you only become more busy as your career progresses.

I am studying after my work, and then next day I' m using the flash cards. I keep them everywhere, in my car, at my desk at work, everywhere I can see them. So, I can review them. And I created my studying plan, so I can track my progress. I also use the test bank.

More often than not test-takers feel that the best way to review before an exam is by simply doing hundreds and hundreds of review problems. While practicing MC and Simulation-based questions are useful, it is much more important to make sure you understand the CONCEPTS behind those questions. I would recommend skimming through your review materials for 2-3 days and then proceeding to do practice problems for the last two days before the test.

My tip for studying would be to do ALL the MCQ's! I know it's super easy to say “whoa! they want me to do 200 questions per chapter?” and then you do 30 or 40 and move on. I failed several times doing just that. This last time for FAR I did all the MCQ's plus all the optional ones plus several progress tests and got an 81! I know studying works differently for different people but just wanted to give my two cents. Good luck to everyone 🙂

    FAR 81
    AUD 87
    REG 77
    BEC 8/16/14
