Making a realistic study plan is Key #1. For those who have studied the written material and did some MCQ's and failed, concentrate your time on taking as many MCQ's and practice exams as possible. It's amazing how much more you retain, and how much faster you can get through the actual exam. This is what will get you to pass!

Best advise to pass CPA is to keep in mind that when we were kids and we wanted to get something really bad, we really tried hard to get it. Same thing apply to pass CPA, download flashcard on your phone and study them on your spare time or when you commute from home to work or school, download some CPA related audio. So, you can listen to them when you go to gym. Trust me, it will make big difference. In short, for these few month, you should live and breathe CPA materials.

I passed FAR and REG, waiting for Auditing result, and I will be taking BEC very soon.

My CPA Exam study tip: use your downtime to study. I always use my commuting time to do MCQ's or watch videos. Those 20 or so minutes a day really start to add up, if you are consistent. Also, getting into the habit of studying at the same time like that makes it more effective too. I carry around my MCQ book everywhere with me because I never know when I'm going to have some downtime. An hour and 45 minute wait in line for brunch in SF? Bring it.

Everyone is busy and studying during busy season is rough so what you have to do is make time and do whatever you can in those 5-10 free breaks or during lunch breaks.

    Good luck.

    AUD- 76 | Fail | 92
    REG- fail | 80
    BEC- 78 | 83
    FAR- fail | fail | fail | 77

    CA PETH 98%

I AM DONE. PRAISE THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.

My new favorite study tool is the Wiley On the Go Mobile CPA App. This app is Apple iOS and Android compatible and it's a wonderful way to have hundreds of multiple choice questions ready to go at all times.

Good luck with the studying, everyone!

I sit for the BEC 2/28/14…Eeek!

My CPA exam tip is to always be sure that you understand both why you got a practice problem correct or incorrect. After going through hundreds of MCQs and practice simulations, it is easy to start memorizing answers and also to just move on once you get a problem correct. If you slow down and make sure you understand why an answer was correct or incorrect, it will make a big difference in ensuring you understand the concepts and are not memorizing answers.

    CA Candidate

    AUD - 7/8/13 - 85
    REG - 8/20/13 - 67, 12/5/13 - 73 2/27/14 - 78
    BEC - 10/1/13 - 86
    FAR - 11/24/13 - 87

For the exam, do practice questions and repeat multiple times! One of my earliest obstacles was getting stuck on one topic and not wanting to move onto the next until I felt 100% about it. Keep moving forward was what helped me nail my first exam.

Just a simple reminder to those who wish to take this exam:

    DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE IT.

    You will regret it.
