Exam Tip: “Repetition is the father of learning”

Write down EVERY single problem you got wrong on a piece of paper. Then write down the solution, provide reasoning for the answer and constantly review over those problems after self-reviewing that individual section. It may sound like its not going to work but it will. The MORE that you see something and are constantly exposed to it, the better chance that you won't forget it next time around or even on the exam.

I am studying for CPA exam myself right now, and I found one thing very useful for me. You should have your Ninja notes PDF open. Whenever your review video discuss any topic, and then do a search within your PDF. It will find the topic inside Ninja note, find the page number. I also have printed out version of the Ninja note, so find the page on the paper note and make extra notes if you need them there on paper.

I am a strong believer that you are in control of any outcomes in life and personal responsibility. So for anyone who is reading this and taking the CPA exam you need to work your tail off every spare second you have. That is the only way you will pass this exam. If you fail you need to take responsibility recognize what you did wrong and move on and try it again. Good Luck.

My tip for studying in general is to read everything 3 times. Once to get through the material, twice for comprehension, and a third time for memorization.

Interview tip: Don't be afraid to show a little personality. Act friendly and a little bit laid back to show the partner/manager that you would be comfortable dealing with the clients. But do it without coming across as a kiss-ass. Make it conversational.

If you get a series of questions that sound like they were obviously printed off the internet 5 minutes ago, then the person asking them has no business conducting interviews. And it also might be a good sign that it's not the kind of firm you want to work for.

Exam tip: When I started working many people around me were/are sitting for the exam as well. My tip is not to get wrapped up and compare yourself to your peers. Every one will get there, just at their own rate
