    Exam Tip:

Do NOT go into the exam thinking there is one area you are not that familiar with or cannot wrap your head around. Be able to understand and know every part of the exam. If there is anything that you do not feel comfortable with, chances are you will have it on a sim and that sim can be the difference between a pass and fail.

Keep at it! I have been studying for 2 years now and have three parts passed. The times that I have stuck to a plan of what, when and where I'm going to study are the times that I have done the best. The NINJA notes and audio have also been a big help.

I don't know if this is suitable for everyone. For me, it worked. I used Becker Self study. I always read the book twice, listen to the lecture once, and practice a lot. I have passed 3 sections all in one shot. I am a tax accountant and have a 16 months old son. To pass this exam, you really need to study harder and harder, and be very persistent. At last, I want to tell everyone that as English is my second language, if I can pass it, you all can pass it.

    FAR 07/30/13- 83
    REG 10/30/13- 93
    BEC 01/16/14- 79
    AUD 02/21/14- 88

My best advice would be to have confidence in yourself!!! Pick a fight song and listen to it before you study anything!! Don't get discouraged when you don't understand something! Don't be afraid to re-read a chapter, re-watch a lecture or re-do MCQ that you've already covered.

Put forth the effort and you'll reap great rewards!!

    Good luck Ninjas!!

    Exam tip:

Set a few hours each when to study. When that comes, turn off all electronic devices — no phones, TV, anything that'll distract you. I even deactivated my Facebook for the remainder of the year until I pass this exam! During commute to work, I spend time going over the ninja flash cards ! I go over them a gazillions times until I couldnt take it anymore 🙂

    Review Materials: RogerCPA, WTB, NINJA

    BEC - IP (May 2014)
    AUD - TBA 2014
    REG - TBA 2014
    FAR - TBA 2014

I recently took the Auditing section of the CPA exam, and the best advice I can give is to not take the Auditing multiple choice questions lightly. They don't seem that difficult when you are doing the test, and they take much less time to get through then the FAR or BEC that I have already passed. I did not pass the Auditing test, and I honestly could not believe I didn't pass.

The best thing I think you can do is just do as many practice questions as possible, and study the info constantly. I figured that the Auditing test would be a breeze after taking the FAR test which was not near as bad as many would lead you to believe. I was wrong.

    This applies to becker reviewers:

    VIDEOS:

(watch / highlight / red pen) as fast as possible – you will NOT remember much

    HOMEWORK:

    * DO NOT WASTE TIME trying to select the right answer -> guess and use book link and explanation to understand the question

    * Do these as fast as possible you will need to redo this on the final review for understanding

    * Use the book link for question you do not understand, write in your own notes (blue pen inside becker book)

    SIMULATION:

    * DO NOT WASTE TIME answering these

    * Look at the answer and analyze then

    FINAL REVIEW:

Write out your blue pen notes from the homework

Progress Test your way to passing

TIP: install something like pdfcreator and print the right answer as you go along the way.

(note i do not do practice test because its just ruins your confidence)

i somehow pass my FAR, AUG, REG on first try

    BEC tomorrow 02/15/14.

The CPA exam is like reading a book in a foreign language. You paid so much for this book so you decided to read it anyway. After you close the last chapter you somehow understood the story.

    Good Luck to All.

My tip would be to not stop. Don't get discouraged and stop taking tests, because it is incredibly more difficult to start back up again.
