The best CPA exam tip is to never give up.It is designed to be very hard. However, once you passed it you will have a sense of a great accomplishment. I am half way through with AUD and REG already passed and it's very hard to find time and mental strength to pass the other 2.

My tip is be very focused to pass this exam. Don't leave any loose ends. You may have to miss on those parties over the weekends at your friend's until you are done wit all your papers. Trust me once you are done, the satisfaction is like climbing the Mt. Everest. Give your 100%, the reward would be 120% guaranteed.

    FAR – 78

    REG – 85

    BEC – 02/25/14

    AUD – waiting for scores.

Take a week off of work or school before you take the exam if possible as well as at least a day to let your brain rest. Every exam where i've had a week off to study and recap i've done well, and every exam where I've not been able to take that time off i've done poorly.

    1. Do not schedule the exam till you are ready. I would say right before you are a week away from you review. You won't be tempted to skip a section of your material just so you can get through it all. Take your time, absorb the information.

    2. Find something fun about the material. Relate it to something you have going on at work or school.

    3. Make use of ALL your time. I love the ELL but I take other moments in the day to do a block of 10 questions. I remove the Facebook/Instagram/Pinterest apps from my phone and put the questions app on the front page of my phone. If I want to waste a few minutes I do it with questions. If I am laying there at night and can't get back to sleep, I do questions (great way to put yourself to sleep).

I haven't passed all my exams yet, and I haven't just started either (member of the 71 club before they had a club) but these helped me pass my FAR exam and hopefully my REG on Monday!

    Good luck to you all!!!!

My advice would be threefold: (1) Use Jeff's NINJA technique ; (2) MCQ, MCQ, MCQ, MCQ, MCQ, MCQ….(you get the picture); (3) make your own flashcards. Don't use one's that may come with your study material. Make your own and you will retain the information better.

Make a study plan with goals for each week, stick to it, and allow a few days of review before taking the exam.

If you are really have a hard time with a particular topic. I find it best to prepare a class on the topic. Nothing commits something to memory like teaching. I also using super silly acroynms for complex topics. The crazier the better.

    Good Luck

Definitely take breaks between study sessions. I find it most helpful to do a workout at least 3 times a week.
