My study tip is to NOT procrastinate…it's incredibly easy to say you'll study a bit harder tomorrow to make up for slacking off today but it's not worth it in the end. Suddenly it'll be a few days before the exam and you'll be in full panic mode. Make a study schedule and stick to it!

    BEC: passed!
    FAR: passed!
    REG: passed!
    AUD: passed!

    Work Tip:

From my experience, I have found that learning excel really helps and mostly if you know multiple level of short cuts. Also, it helps if you have little bit of a computer troubleshooting background that's a plus point.

Because I was hired as a temp but I have impressed the managers when I did a full overhaul multiple excel templates to full automation. Thought that, I was offered a FT position and anytime they need any excel help or any kind PC help they ask me.

I know I'm an accountant but in this job market, knowing extra always helps. .

The best study tip that I have come across is to have confidence and know you can pass the exams. There are times when I think I just cant do this and my study habits slack off. Confidence helps to push you to study.

I believe I have been successful taking the CPA exam because you have to trust that the materials, in my case Becker, will adequately prepare you for a passing grade. Do what they tell you to do, follow the plan, never study the day before the exam and it will all work out.

Something that worked for me using Becker:

Learning how to chug through the MCQ's within however much time you want to give yourself per-question is one thing. Actually using the Becker MCQ's as a learning tool is another thing entirely. After my first exam, I knew I had the timing thing down, so studying for the next three, I would hit pause for every MCQ. That might sound ridiculous, but not having a ticking clock on the screen was the only way I could fully devote my consciousness to making connections and thinking things through to try to get to the right answer.

The best tip I have is to make a study guide (or take notes as you go along) and then when you're done, take as much time as you want before bed. But right before bed you need to go over your study guide, or condensed notes, and then go straight to sleep. This helps me retain so much more than I can explain.

    Interview Tip:

I've notice from my (many) interviews, the less you talk about technical things, the more likely you are to get the job. Try to relate to them, the interviewers who have liked me the most hardly asked me any interview questions.
