When reviewing the Content Specification Outlines (CSOs) set forth by the AICPA, I ignore the percentage range following each area which represents the approximate percentage of total test questions associated with the area (i.e. Audit, Accounting and Review Services Engagements (12% – 16%). I focus on all areas equally.

My study tip is to rewrite your notes multiple times before exam day. It makes the information click and for me has made all the difference.

You CAN pass the CPA exam – you just need to decide you want it. Put the time in. Use Ninja Audio. 🙂 “The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson.

My best exam tip is to sit when you feel ready. Dedicate yourself to the studies completely and be honest with yourself and your abilities. Don't think just because you've cycled through the questions once or twice that you are ready. Get to the point where you can bang out answers in your sleep. Get to the point where you know things backwards and forward and forward and backwards. To the point where even looking at another question could make your head explode. Make this exam your passion and care get better and better each day – being honest with your weak spots. Don't just try and sit as many times as possible and hope to scrape by.

My best tip is to never settle for 75 or 80 or 85 etc on the MCQ when studying. Always get yourself to reach the highest possible score that you can get. You may think you know the subject well enough, but there is always room for improvement and you don't want it to bite you in the butt when you sit the exam!

    BEC - DONE! - 10/12/12
    AUD - DONE! - 10/31/12
FAR - Nope, Nope, Nope, Nope... 5th times the charm? 4/6/2014...
    REG - DONE! - 8/25/13

My plan is to start with AUD exam because this is my last accounting course to take; it will be fresh for me and I can ask the professor what doesn't make sense while preparing for both course and AUD exam. Next to take will be the easiest one, BEC for me. I will combine Wiley CPA review & test bank with NINJA COMBO.

    Good luck!

Study them ninja e-flashcards while you're taking a sneaky ninja dump. Don't be overly ambitious when scheduling exams, this makes Prometric very rich off rescheduling fees.

One of the best pieces of advice I can give is to never give up, never, never, never.
