Schedule your exam, don't wait until you are well along studying. Having a date in your mind creates a sense of urgency. Otherwise, you will keep delaying.

my advise for studying the CPA exam is: when doing the MC, for those questions you do wrong, print it out as PDF, then transfer it to your phone. You can review those question during your break at work or anytime you don't have access to your computer or book.

Career tip: ALWAYS send a thank you note/email to your interviewers. This is another opportunity for you to shine. You can refer to a noteworthy point from the interview or briefly mention a relevant skill you forgot to mention during the interview. Send one to each interviewer but personalize it.

Spend a lot of time on the MCQs and not so much time on the videos/books. Be sure to make note of the rule you failed to apply on all missed questions. Re write/type your NINJA notes overtime you do a practice session and score less than 75. When your cumulative number of correct questions on a topic are above 75% (in the green) move on to the next topic. Wash, rinse, repeat.

    BEC:76
AUD:77 (expired), 73, REMATCH 5/19/14, PENDING SCORE RELEASE.
    REG:71,68,59,75
    FAR:62, 59, 62, 78

My best career advice, especially when it comes to the CPA, is take the exam as soon as possible after you finish school. I got my extra hours for the 150 hour requirement and then kept putting it off for little dumb reasons. Now 12 years after school, here I am trying to get back into study mode while having to deal with full time work and other responsibilities. Looking back I know it would have been much easier to get this done right after school before life kicks in full gear. While I know its possible, I know its also more of a struggle now than it would have been. I think most people who took this exam later in their career would agree it would have been much easier early on. Don't put off the exam! 🙂

Career tip – Do your research about salary AND benefits before going to interview. When it gets to be time to negotiate you can easily get more money and better perks (signing bonus, etc) just by knowing what is reasonable in the position.

    AUD - 2/1/2014 - 92
    BEC - 2/8/2014 - 79
    REG - 5/17/2014
    FAR - 5/21/2014

    CA Ethics Exam - Passed
