My exam tip: The best way to prepare for the exam is to use your free iPad Mini and study on the go.

If you'll study full time, take 2 months to study for each part. Make a full review twice before sitting for each part. Lots and lots of practice.

My Best tip: Snowball technique. Learn something, and review. Learn more, and review the original material and the newly learned material. Learn even more, and review all three areas. Work you way through the material with greater and greater review sessions.

What works for me: I listen to music while I study for the FAR, matching certain bands to different accounting topics. The repetition helps me link songs with accounting info. Later on while I hum the song I am reminded of whatever information I was studying to that song. Boom, brain = hacked.

My advice is to have a schedule. I like knowing that I have to knock down 2-3 topics each day, so I'm mentally prepared for it.

Best advice I received was to do the CPAs immediately after getting my degree, the longer you push it off, the less likely it is to happen!

Do a good job on the BEC written communication. Write a beginning, middle, and end. Make sure to have 2-3 supporting points for your argument.

Schedule your exam, don't wait until you are well along studying. Having a date in your mind creates a sense of urgency. Otherwise, you will keep delaying.
