    The best advice I can give would be to really make a strategic and realistic plan that you can stick to! Set goals for yourself each week or even each day and make sure you stay on track to meet them. Once you fall behind, it's hard to find the motivation to catch back up.

    Take this tip from someone who has only taken one exam at this point, FAR, and failed it.

    Don't over think. Don't over analyze.

    And get through ALL of your review material. Don't skip a section hoping it won't end up on the exam. It will.

    FAR - [10/07/2013 --> 66] [07/07/2014 --> 86]
    BEC - [08/31/2014 --> 86]
    AUD - [11/24/2014 --> 88]
    REG - [02/14/2015 --> 92]

    Don't delay in taking the CPA journey. I have waited 25 years to start this journey and will take my first exam (FAR) on 2/24. It's time to get the “monkey off my back”.

    My advice is to work hard, study hard, and make sure to plan something special for after the exam that you can look forward to. Also don't be too hard on yourself throughout!

    I try to still be with my family when I study. While my kids watch tv at night, I sit on the couch with them listening to white noise on my headset while I study. I still feel like a part of their night but get my study time in. I also pray a lot – 🙂

    The tip for me is – Just do it. Don't think too much. Don't give yourself excuses. How much your spent on study = Score you get.

    My tip is that you get out of this process what you put in. I work full time ad find it very difficult to come home and study for hours each day a week while still maintaining some sort of a personal life. I can always find excuses to put studying off until the next day. I'm only fooling myself. Create a study plan, stick to it, use mixed media study tools and stay focused. Best of luck fellow future CPAs 🙂

    CPA tip

    I've passed my first three sections on the first try since October. Not having an undergrad or graduate degree in Accounting, people have asked what my secret is. My tip: There is no shortcut. You have to put in the work. Videos, notes, MCQs. Sims, etc. Find what works for you and go with it. It is a reachable goal if you are willing to make sacrifices. Not flashy, but it's the truth.

    Good luck everyone!
