Have to keep it real 🙂 because this one has definitely affected me. I passed a few sections and failed a bunch and had some expire… still working on FAR today. The top thing I could say is to stay focused and DON'T TAKE TIME OFF during this process! This seems easy enough and I heard it many times before I started but maybe once more can make a difference. I heard this tip and figured, that's easy – just keep studying and don't stop. However, life gets in the way and things happen – no matter what age you are. Family, friends, career, personal, etc… I ended up taking a break from studying after I passed two sections because I thought they would all be so easy… I'll just finish later. I got into a relationship and didn't study for a while. I think delaying only hurts exponentially more and more… When I got back into studying, I kept failing my third section repeatedly and eventually lost all credit that I had earned. Now I am still working to pass all four.

Stick with it and get the exam over with as soon as you can! Then you can move on to bigger and better things, personally or professionally!

My study tip would be to first plan your time appropriately. Secondly, taking time to exercise and eat right definitely helps your ability to exercise your mind for studying. Lastly, read, re-read and re-read the questions.

Studying Tip: Great tip for any studying I learned a while ago. Enjoy what you are learning. But wait, you don't? Then pretend. Psych yourself up and have in your mind – “this stuff is interesting.” It's very hard to learn things that one finds pointless or boring. If person starts this trick, it (at least in my experience) will make things in general more interesting in life. Conversations, random tidbits of information that you come across. So in a sense, I guess this is a life tip.

Exercise, drink a lot of caffeine, and don't brush anything off thinking “there is no way this will be tested on”

    Career advice:

Most CPA exam candidates have been overachievers their whole lives, and it's important to know that you WILL make mistakes your first year or two and it's okay because you are learning. Remember that at the end of the day, it is just a job. As my team partner told me once, “We aren't saving lives here.”

Be serious about what you do, but cut yourself some slack too.

My accounting career tip is don't forget that personality matters almost as much as skill in the work place. Treat your co-workers, employees, managers, etc. with respect and just be nice and smile occasionally (or often). It helps a lot more than you might think.

    FAR- 85 I'm DONE!
    BEC- 75
    REG- 60,60,75
    AUD- 74,74,83

CPAExcel used for BEC, AUD, REG
Exam Matrix used for FAR plus NINJA Blitz, cpareviewforfree and a little CPAExcel

My best study tip is to try to figure out the logic behind each question. Accounting is a bunch of numbers, but the numbers have to follow a set of rules. If during your study time you can figure out why something is accounted for the way it is accounted for – the purpose behind the rule – it might help you pick out the correct answers on exam day. Good luck!!
