Career tip: If you happen to be one of the “lucky ones” that lands a Big 4 job – stay with it as long as you can. Are the hours long? Yes. Is it stressful? Yes. Is it all worth it? Absolutely. I graduated back in 2007 and went to work for Big 4. I stayed with them for several years, working my way up to Senior 2. Then, I decided to leave and make a career change and left to work for the Federal Government. Please, whatever you do, do not leave as a Staff. The longer you stay, the better your opportunities will be in the future. Try and stick it out until at least Senior, if not Manager or above. The longer you stay in Big 4, the more desirable you become in private industry. The experience and connections you gain while employed at Big 4 will provide the foundation for the rest of your career.

I exam tip is to be consistent while studying. I think that studying every day for at least one hour can keep you motivated and pays off at the end. Also, never give up after failing an exam because the next time you take it you gave a possibility of passing. These exams are no joke as they demand a lot of sacrifice but its all worth it at the end.

My best tip is to really take the time to understand the sections that you are working on and not rush through them. We all understand the time crunch to get through all of the material but you will only have to go back and re-learn topics if you don't fully understand them the first time you work through the material.

My best tip is try not to bite off more than you can chew. During the Oct-Nov testing window, I tried to do BEC and AUD within a week of each other. I ended up almost passing BEC and during horribly on AUD because I preferred studying BEC. Next time, one testing window per section for me. My eyes were bigger than my test scores. And those two sections require totally different approaches to studying. Being a realist rather than an optimist is my study tip.

Make sure when you study that you don't focus too much on the lectures. While they are important, you really learn stuff from the multiple choice. THAT Is where you should be focusing your time. More bang for your buck.

Figure out how you learn. I learn by trial and error so MCQ and writing notes is the way to go. Some people learn visually so reading and classroom videos will help more. Figure out how you learn and then try to do something exam related every day.

    BEC 74

    AUD 68, 72

    REG 64

    FAR 72

I haven't passed (or taken) any parts yet, but i went carefully read the book (gleim for BEC) while scribbling notes to try to help commit the information to memory. Then went back through and typed up cleaner looking notes to have something to re-write and have a nice clean summary

    B: 88 2/25/14
    A: 81 5/12/14
    R: 71, 84
    F: 78 10/14/14
