    1) Start studying as early as possible. You get a whole lot more done and it helps keep you motivated for the rest of the day. You'll feel like you accomplished so much at day's end.

    2) Don't burn yourself out. Yes, it's important to study as much as possible, but it's also important to stay healthy and sane! You'll retain information a whole lot better if your brain is well-rested.

    3) DON'T GIVE UP! Things will look bleak every once in a while, and you'll start doubting your ability to succeed, but keep in mind that IT CAN BE DONE. Countless others have been where you are and have come out CPAs, and so will you. You can do this!

    Hi Ninjas!

Make a per day per topic plan, detailed of what you're going to cover each day. I do that to ensure I get a chance to cover ALL material in textbook.

    For example:

    02/01 Individual tax lecture

    02/02 Homework

    02/03 Sims and MCQ's

02/04 progressive test (covering all topics already studied)

I also do the progressive test along the way, every couple of days or so to make sure I'm not loosing all other material…

The previously mentioned tip is good…. it works! but the “best” tip is to start with a positive attitude each study session and to believe in yourself. A positive mind is ready to absorb information most likely.

Good luck everyone and thanks Jeff!

    Priscilla.

    I have one simple tip.

Make a road map of your study materials.

You don't have memorize everything but you need have general understanding of each topic.

Also nail your weak topics first.

    FAR-82!
    REG-82 Again!
    BEC-78!
    AUD-84!

Done with the exam and LICENSED in VA as of 11/17/2015.

My best advice would be to write down why you got something wrong as your going through multiple choice questions. Write down as many nuggets as possible and later rewrite them into a more organized way giving you tons of fact nuggets to review. Take the with you wherever you go. I also just used another 71 ninja notes and audio for my Far test on February 2nd the multiple choice questions I felt great about and it was definitely from the notes and audio. The task based simulations were a different story Four of the seven tabs were very hard and was left wondering what in the world are they asking. Anyway dont give up as I haven't I have been trying since 2006 with Two passes along the way but losing those 2 parts which was devastating. Just keep plowing and it really is a full time job to pass. Thanks and good luck.

Read your notes & practice as many multiple choice questions necessary until you feel you know the material well enough to teach it to others! 🙂

***GO RUN…this helps tremendously with stress/frustration.

The thing that's worked best for me is to do as many multiple choice questions and practice sims that you can. All the while pay attention to the areas you struggle with and take notes on those questions. Review your materials until you under stand them. The WTB is really great for this. I've combined them with CPAexcel and had a pretty good success rate thus far.
