Set up a study schedule with the chapters you plan on finishing per week and leave at least two weeks for review. Set up a study timer for 50 mins at a time. During this time, no looking at your phone or casual conversation. During review, do as many MCQs as you can even if you don't feel ready for them. I learn best by going through tons of MCQs. Look at your weaker areas and keep doing MCQs in those areas until you hit at least a 75. Make flashcards for mnemonics.

i use cpaexcel and they have bite-size “chapters” with review questions after each “chapter”. i would go through the material as quickly as i can, take notes on the side, draw whatever to make it easier for me to understand the concepts, and do the questions. i would read the explanation of each question and make sure i understand them. i only watch the videos if i don't get the material from reading. and make sure you save enough time for a final review before the exam. that really helps refreshing memory.

one thing that really helps me focus is to turn off my computer. if my computer is on, i am bound to be distracted.

    hope these help!

My tip is to take the CPA exams as soon as you are eligible, work really hard, and never give up. There are things like Ninja notes that helped me pass but in the end the most important thing is to hang in there and keep trying even after you fail a section and wonder why you even began the process in the first place.

My best tip for studying is to schedule time for studying and treat it like you would any other appointment. Don't skip it or say you'll do it later because more than likely you won't.

My best advice is to focus on the areas that you keep putting off or don't want to study because they are difficult – when you come across a question or even a simulation on this topic during exam day, you will be thankful that you forced yourself to put in the extra effort for that area.

My best tip for studying is to do all the multiple choice questions at your disposable one time through, then do every one you got wrong until you know how to get the correct answers (no memorization!).

Another thing that really helped me is to schedule the exams! I scheduled the first exam and then “waited” until I was ready to take FAR. Big mistake. I did not start studying again until November after I scheduled FAR. I need a deadline to motivate myself to study.
