The best job interview tips that I can give are basic. Humble yourself, sit up straight, smile occassionally, and think before you reply. Show that you're really interested and passionate at what you want to do. If not, question why you're there in the first place.

Make sure read the book and watch the video lecture. Do a ton of MCQ's until you're sick of it. I used Becker and Ninja notes as well as Wiley test bank. Ninja notes are great when you are reviewing the materials. Good luck to you all.

My tip, having only studied for the past 6 weeks in preparation for my first exam (FAR) would be to suck it up. Yeah, just suck it up. We all know there are other things we would prefer to do with our precious free time, but the fact of the matter is that these exams are not easy. In fact, they are extremely difficult. The only way to pass these exams without being a genius is to purchase review materials, create a study plan, and execute it. Sacrafices must be made, but in the end when we are all CPAs, it will be worth it!!!

    1) Review your old material

    2) Practice Practice

    3) Find what your most effective way of learning is. Some people like audio, some people need to write it down. Figure it out and make it a core part of your study session.

The best advice I would give is if you are still in college/grad school make sure you do at least one internship during the summer. Most employers are looking for some type of experience even though it is an entry level positions.

I recently wrote a blog that discussed overcoming failed exams. It is important to be able to have a short memory and not dwell on a failing score. Here is the link:

    My method

    1) Go through Ninja Notes once

    2) Go through all the MCQ from Wiley or wherever and write down the reasons you got them wrong and correct rules. Minute details come out with the wording of similar questions

ie (R&D depreciation expense VS R&D depreciation): ‘RD Depreciation Expense' includes equipment of future use assets currently being used while ‘RD Depreciation' only includes current RD equipment.

    3) Go combine the notes and study them well.

    4) Take final practice exam and find weaknesses.

also Use Ninja Flashcards on your phone while you're not home. Very convenient. Found out Brainscape still works with IOS 6 but must use older app Flashcardlet.

    BEC- Passed -Expired
    AUD- Passed
    FAR- 5/13
