There are a lot of great study tips on here, so I will give my best career tip: remain curious and engaged. Don't be complacent about free time. If you have extra time and capacity, always ask for a way you can help out. You will be amazed at how quickly you can own new projects, and propel your career forward.

MCQ,MCQ,MCQ,MCQ,MCQ keep doing them and if you dont get the right answer make sure you understand why you missed the question. Notes!!!!! I love the Ninja Style of rewritting your notes. I watched the Becker videos and instead of hightlighting i was writing my notes. After completing the notes I read my notes and answer question to make sure there are no Gaps. At the end of each chapter i rewritte my notes using the AICPA content specifications see here – https://www.aicpa.org/becomeacpa/cpaexam/examinationcontent/pages/default.aspx. I ask myself do I know what i need to know about this topic. 2 weeks before the exam I read my notes and summarize it on like a legal pad. Throughout the process i am working multiple choice questions like crazy. Based on this plan you need at least 7 weeks to really study for the exam.

After all is said and done Study like it depends on you and pray like it depends on God! Keep Pressing on till you reach the Mark!!!!!!!

My best study tip is organize your study materials in way that you are never without them. Get Ninja Notes, Audio, and Flashcards and work them into your daily routine. Listen to audio during your commute to and from work, do flash cards or notes or MCQ;s at lunch or at home. Make sure you are never without your study materials!!!!!

My study tip would be to take as many multiple choice as you can possibly handle, and take notes every single time you get an answer wrong. You will hate having to re-write the same answer more than once so that will motivate you to really read the question and understand it. I find I absorb the material so much better this way, rather than just memorizing answers.

I haven't yet taken my first exam (AUD Feb 24th) so I will provide this career tip: get positive exposure to department directors and/or executives any chance you get. This means volunteering for projects or offering to do things like help with the annual meeting (I ran the projector for the Annual Meeting several times). Speak to them in the elevator. When you are first starting out, your particular role may not afford you many opportunities to display leadership or otherwise get noticed by important people in the organization–so make those opportunities in other ways. It will pay off.

My advice for anyone studying for the CPA exam while working would be to focus on what you're doing at the moment. For example, if you're studying, study. If you're working, work. If you're hanging out with family/friends, enjoy the time with them. Try not to have your mind running around all over the place. This will help your studying, as well as provide a sanity check for you. Hope this helps.

Best tip I can give is that you need to believe in yourself. It is achievable. Stay positive.

Do as many MCQ and read the NINJA notes. Be realistic about your goals and timeframe. Allow yourself to study enough time. I found that scheduling my test before hand set a goal to study so I stuck to it. If you fail it's okay. You can always take it again.

My Career tip – when going for an interview…..leave your kids at home…don't leave them in the lobby for the receptionist to watch.
