Really? I work in internal audit, and these are the most introverted people I've ever worked with in my life. External auditors (my prior job) are way more social in my experience. I guess it depends on what organization you work at though.

    AUD: 95 (11/2015)
    FAR: 88 (02/2016)
    REG: 89 (06/2016)
    BEC: 90 (07/2016)
    Ethics: 93

I'm never studying for anything ever again!

@Sarah40460 – I agree with you as well. I used to work as an External Auditor (EY), and upon joining in an industry job I thought it would not be that difficult to get along with people, but boy I was damn wrong. Am an outgoing and friendly person, but for some reason I feel that maybe am not being liked. Some colleagues don't even say good morning, or even have small talks, etc. I agree that am not going to work for making friends but I don't see that cordial work relationship or whatever that appropriate word is. On the other hand I did lot of testing for external auditors (Deloitte) and in our meetings with them when we get a chance to have small talks it goes smoothly and feels like as though I have been working with them on a regular basis. I personally think my Internal Audit colleagues might have taken in a wrong way and some of them are frowned upon me. My Senior Auditor told me frankly that don't be so friendly with them. As an auditors aren't we suppose to be having people person skills, and maintain professional relationships? At times I feel like damn some people just don't get it. It maybe bc external auditors can be a pain, but I think a fine balance must be drawn.
