I’m about to be finished with my accounting degree this spring. I will have 120 credits, all requirements for a BBA on accountancy. I wonder if I could sit even though technically I won’t have the degree paper since I am finishing a second major(to get to 150). But I could prove all the classes are done for it. Think they would let me sit?

Most states have different requirements, but overall i think if your in your last term for your 150 credit hours they will let you apply to sit for it, but once you have completed your 150 credits you must send in your transcript to the state accountancy board, and they give you a deadline to have all the required documents to them. I don't think you can go far with just 120 credit hours.

kcregger2- I would contact your state board. According to this website, you may be able to start the application process and they will tell you what else you need prior to taking the exam. https://www.boa.virginia.gov/CPAExam/EducationRequirements.shtml
