IFRS on FAR?

    Based on the roadmap, IFRS can be up to 10% of the exam. I think I had some, but they were mostly conceptual, not computational. If you have a general idea of the key differences (no LIFO, CF statement, IFRS assets can be written up & down, etc.) you should be fine.

    IFRS is def testable. Doesn't guarantee you'll see a question it tho. My first FAR exam had 3 sims on it and my retake didn't have a single IFRS question. It's all random.

    One day people will eventually realize that each and every exam is different. That being said, your best strategy is to look at the AICPA released Blueprints and come up with a game plan based off of that percentage. In my opinion, everything is fair game. If I were you, I would study the main differences that Roger, Becker, Wiley, etc. highlight and put some trust in your review course.

    Also – the AICPA reads this forum, to no surprise (It's the biggest CPA forum on the web). Too many “don't study X, Y, Z topics” and you will probably end up with a TBS on it come exam day. That's my view at least.
