Hello

I’d like to go out as a self supporting missionary one of these days and was wondering how useful a CPA title is outside of the United States, or for that matter from state to state. If I get one in California it should really give me a leg up anywhere in the United States correct?

I'm interested as well. I wonder if anyone on here has had any experience with international recruiting firms? I don't know much about the process of applying to jobs internationally.

It can be helpful in India. I don't know the details but for example:

My uncle in India runs a insurance company. He is pretty much in sales it seems. He has an MBA. But to get specific type of clients he HAS to have a CPA. Keep in mind, India accounts that are certified are called CA, not CPA. So he plans on sitting for the CPA. I live in US. But when I visit India I notice CPA can be in demand there as well. Lots of Indians sit for it. This was just one example, I am sure there are plenty more.
