Should i do the Becker simulations at the end of each chapter or is that a waste of time?

The topics covered on mine I couldn't have prepared for. I just listened to Roger's review on them. He kept saying that it's heavily graded on format, punctuation, and grammar.

I did some of the practice questions in Becker, but only got frustrated, as I was taking way too long with them. In the end, they are heavily graded on format, punctuation, and grammar, as THendry stated above. They are checking to make sure you can write a business response to a question. Answer in memo/e-mail format, with good form, spelling, and grammar, and I think you will be just fine.

I only got 72 on BEC, but my scoring said I did better on the written portion than those that passed. It was the MC that killed me, always do. I know I bullsh**** my way through two of them, three paragraphs for each question (even if only 2 or 3 sentences), and make sure and end with something to the effect of “feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions”.

As stated already, format, punctuation, and grammar is the big one here. You do not have to write an essay like paragraph that describes a topic in great detail; it is more like a business letter. Make it sound like you are writing a letter to a professional in the real world and you will be fine. This is what I did and I ended up scoring stronger on the writing portion despite not passing BEC the first time around. Also, one thing to point out; I actually BS'd one of the questions because I didn't know what to write. But that was likely the pretest question because I ended up writing only five lines and still ended up getting a stronger on the written communications lol.
