    Hi guys!

I am intending to complete 8 credit hours from foothill college, CA.

I am not sure how things work here as I had all my education abroad. Can someone help me out in figuring out how many units I would have to take to complete 8 credit hours?

Also, which are the courses without any prerequisite that I should take up at foothill? (PS: I am not looking at specific credits as I have them all already!)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for stopping by and giving your time! 🙂

I'm not specifically familiar with Foothill College, however, courses are usually three credits each, meaning you would need to take three courses to achieve 8 credit hours. If you've already enrolled, you should have been assigned an academic advisor who you can ask these questions to. They can provide you with the best answer because they know exactly what you need to do in order to get your credit hours.

Foothill has a quarter system, so yes, every course you take, the units is usually worth 2/3 of a semester unit. If your class is 5 units, it really is only worth 3.33 units in semester. The CBA calculates everything by semester. The other poster was right, you would need to take at least 12 units at Foothill in order to make up those 8 units.
