    @Tony
Hahaha hey man I have a very similar story to yours. My attempts are definitely double digits.
I also lost credit for every single section except for REG. Had to pass the other 3 twice!
    Never give up!
Anyway I'm glad to see not everyone is perfect with these exams. It's hard when your doubg this and working full time and have some sort of life.

    AUD 84
    FAR. 78(expired/retake 5/9/16)
    BEC 77
    REG 76

AUD – Fail, Pass (Expired), Fail, Pass
BEC – Fail, Pass (Expired), Fail, Pass
    FAR – Failed 3x, Passed on 4th
    REG – Failed 2x, Passed on 3rd

For both AUD and BEC, I failed by 1-2 points after my previous passes expired. 15 fun-filled testing experiences all together.

    Six for me

    BEC – 1
    AUD – 2
    REG – 1
    FAR – 2

Still can't believe I'm done with this monster.

One try per section. But I did 2500-4000 ninja mcqs per section. Jeff is spot on with that idea.

    Omg…. too many.

    Aud – 1x
    FAR – 3x
    REG – 2x
BEC – 2x only because I had to re-pass it because it expired.

Whole process took me about 24 months which doesn't actually seem irregular now…

There was a guy on here awhile ago, not sure if he's still around, who took FAR 9 times. Nine. I think he passed it on the ninth try. He has my utmost respect, although I don't even know his name. I'd hire him in a second, without looking at resumes of any other candidates, because he persevered and never gave up no matter how many roadblocks were thrown up in front of him. Not to mention the other three sections which I think he also took multiple times but not 9 times. Some people get lucky and get easy questions on these exams – it seems like there are a lot more people on here who are passing than there used to be. Not sure why – maybe this is the last round of “easier” tests before the format changes?

Mine took a while. Looking back, I'm pretty sure it's because I have a very hard time concentrating on anything for an extended period of time. I was ready to just basically Christmas tree the last one an hour and a half in. When studying, I had to set a timer for no longer than two hours because any longer than that and I wouldn't absorb anything.

That being said, my experience was as follows:

AUD passed the first try, both times (one expired).
    BEC took three tries.
    FAR took two tries.
    REG took two tries.

Again, I really think it's my personality more than anything else. At this point, I'm just glad it's done, and happy to be able to type , CPA after my name. It was all worth it.
