I made my first attempt at this in 2006-2007, then made another brief attempt in 2013-2014 before finally getting it done in 2016-2017.
2006-2007:
BEC – took once, scored 81
REG – took twice, scored 64, 68
FAR – took twice, scored 69, 73
I got pregnant with my daughter 2 months after the 73 in FAR and decided to put my CPA aspirations on hold.
2013-2014:
REG: took twice, scored 70, 63
Work life became extraordinarily busy and I put CPA aspiration so on hold again to spend time with that.
2016-2017:
REG: took twice, 61, 82
BEC: took once, 81
FAR: took twice, 71, 81
AUD: took once, 77
My experiences can be summed up like this: 13 tests over a 10 year, 2 month period. Of those 13, I've passed 5 and failed 8. REG was my biggest struggle, followed by FAR. I'm one of those lucky people who founded BEC easy. Not sure if this is a lesson in perseverance or a warning of some kind about not fully committing. Hopefully it inspires anyone who is thinking about quitting to keep trying. You may end up taking REG 6 times and FAR four times, but you CAN pass as long as you don't give up.
