    From submitting the reapplication form to the state board to selecting exam date on prometric, it took me 20days.(I’m an overseas candidate) I counted the days this time to see if would be able to sit for a retake by Jan 10th 2018 which is when my credit expires.

    The waste of 2 1/2 months for the wait for 2Q release got me in this situation. Although the best thing for me to do is to ace my retake in 4Q 2017, I want to also prepare for the worst case scenario. Good luck to everybody trying to finsih strong!!

    Would this be California? Their suggestion is to simply pay for an extra section in advance. Then you can reselect the section, pay for it on NASBA then schedule, all in a relatively short time period.

    It may be a racket but it's “our” racket 🙂

    Otherwise CA says 4 to 6 weeks to process and they often do exactly that.

    @M123 Yes it is California. What if REG is the only section I have left, would your suggestion still work?
    Also i wonder if they would grant us couple months of extension due to the long Q2 score release if a candidate officially requests.

    Yes, I what I did was simply submit a new application – I don't think you have to designate which exam at the time. Pay the $50 and send it at the time you take your exam. By the time you get results on exam you have another credit ready to select rather than having to wait 4-6 weeks.

    By the grace of God I didn't need to use my last one but it was ready! They will refund the unused one. I emailed them and they said they automatically refund it as part of the application process for licensure. We shall see.

    @M123

    I greatly appreciate of you sharing your experience. I will request new remittance form and pay the $50 in advance to get a head start just in case.
    But just like you hopefully God will grace me as well that I won't need to use it! Congrats on your completion of all 4 sections!
