wow, such an out of blue topic!

this takes me back to my high school years. my teacher said it's best if you study this stuff on your own so he talked about his life, his philosophies, his weekend trips etc and only answered our questions. i studied the book myself and did quite well b/c i got 5 on the AP test.

i still remember the basic concepts like the chain rule, quotient rule, how to take a derivative and integration etc. cal 1 is much easier than 2 b/c you just learn the basics. i would love to retake it just as a refresher. i always loved math and never missed getting an A all the way through college; last math i took was complex vector and analysis i think. actually ended up taking senior level math and almost got a math minor.

lol. I LOVED calculus! Nerd status over here. I took it in high school as well, and then was sad when I had no more math requirements in college to cushion my GPA.

i never could get beyond antiderivatives which fortunately always came before the drop date. can do linear algebra and vectors and great at trig lousy at geometry and managed graduate level stats and forecasting but that was all i could do.

Calc 1 was fun, Calc 2 was more difficult.

Make sure you pick the right Calc 1 for whatever reason you're taking it. I took a 5-semester-unit Calc class, but probably could have taken the 3-unit business calc, doh!

    Ninja + Wiley Test Bank: [FAR - 81] [REG - 76] [BEC - 88] [AUD - 73](doh!)

    Becker Videos: [AUD - 82]

I loved calculus as well. I took it in College. Took math all the way up to derivatives. Man I miss those days.

Calc 1 was not hard at all.

    AUD - 73, 72 retake 7/2/2016
    BEC - 8/20/2016
    REG - TBD
    FAR - TBD

I am so ready for this nightmare to be over. Been at this way too long.

Got a D in precalc in high school, then for some reason they put me in AP Calc AB the next year. That was the only class I ever got a big fat F in. Got a liberal arts degree because of how traumatized I was from my calc experiences in high school. Went back to school later when I figured out I wanted to be an accountant. Had to take business calc and either failed it or dropped it probably 3 times in at least two different universities before I finally managed to pass it on the third or fourth attempt. It almost kept me from getting an accounting degree and thus a career in this field.

It hurt really deeply every time I got a test back with an F on it when I thought I didn't do *too* badly this time. I'm not stupid by any means* and I tried REALLY hard. It was a nightmare.

Fast forward a few years. I'm doing great at work, love my job, learning a lot, advancing quickly, and haven't done any math above basic arithmetic or pre algebra since undergrad. Bliss!

*Example: passed Far, Reg, and Bec on my first try each.

Weekends are meaningless to a CPA candidate
