How does losing a section work?

I probably failed BEC. So I am planning how/when I will take the exam next year. Because of my amazing luck (sarcasm) of course the exam is going to go through dramatic changes and it looks like there will only be one score release date for each quarter of next year. If I dont pass BEC by 8/31 of next year, I will lose my FAR credit. If I take BEC in Q2 (after presumably failing again in Q1) It looks like I could expect that score on 8/18. If I am able to get an NTS and schedule to sit for another BEC ecxam before 8/31 I would get that test’s score on 9/22. If I pass, would I lose my FAR credit?

Im basing these dates off of this

First of all, you have 3 more cracks at BEC before you FAR exam expires.

Second of all, why are you so sure you failed BEC in Q4?

I think you will look back on this thread and feel silly when you get your passing score today or at worst in Q1..

I prepare for worst case scenarios man. I don't know if I actually have 3 cracks at BEC that's what I'm trying to figure out right now.

First….BREATHE. You haven't failed yet, there's every reason to think you may have done better than you thought and there's plenty of time to worry about this next week and give yourself a break if worst comes to worst.

I refuse to answer with an action plan because I believe you passed.

I'm pretty sure you don't lose credit if you take the exam before the date the FAR section expires. Someone with experience with this wanna chime in?

Anyways, what was your experience with BEC in Q4? I think there's a good chance you are pleasantly surprised tonight given your other scores..

You've got three chances at BEC, if you need them:

    January/February
    April/May
    July/August

You just have to sit for BEC before 8/31. It doesn't matter when you get the score, just that it's a passing score.

And to top it off, you can take a shot at it in January/February – before the exam changes in April.

I test for one exam every window whether Im ready for the exam or not. That has been my approach I'd just like to know if I have 3 chances or 2. Looks like womba answered the question.

Did you find your Q4 exam overly hard?

I posted about it. Alot of question/formats I've never even seen before.

Most likely higher point questions or pretest questions. I didn't see your previous post

Considering the length of time I have spent considering your situation because I may end up facing it as well because my credit expires on 9/30 as well. I can tell you the answer you received is half right.

You will have the following time frames:

1st window- January/February/March (til the 10th, because they have plans to extend the window)
2nd window – April/May (Extension into the following month is suspended)
3rd window – August 20th – August 30th. (The reason is because you need to get your results before you can get a new NTS for the exam unless they change that rule).

So, given all this. The pressure feels overwhelmingly intense. If I fail… it will only increase going forward.

    AUD: 85 (3/8/16)
    FAR: 77 (6/7/16)
    BEC: ??? (9/7/16)
    REG: ???

LOL, glad this thread was created. If you put in the time and really work to understand the material it usually works out in your favor despite how you feel about the actual exam.
