How do you answer this question: "So, how did it go?"

We all hear the question or a variation of it. After the exam in come the “how did you do?” and “think you passed?” sort of questions from all angles. I can’t win with my answer. I took REG today and I felt awful walking out.

If I tell people I think I killed it, I’d be flat out lying. If I tell the truth and say it felt like I was run over by a semi-truck, I get the “you are SO negative, I’m sure you did FINE” which is frustrating. I try to get by with “we’ll see, no clue how it went” and that works to some extent.

Anyone else hate fielding this question when you feel the test went terribly? Guess it’s a bit of a negative post… not feeling so hot after REG today.

I give the vague, “I feel good about. I know I studied hard, so hopefully the score will show it.”

I usually ask them “How would you feel if you just had a mammogram, a colonoscopy, and a root canal all at one time?” That usually shuts them up!

I've told VERY few people that I'm studying for the exam for this very reason! The only reason my co-workers/boss knows is because my company is paying for it and mostly everyday I creep off for lunch with my textbook.

I just took REG yesterday and a few folks asked me about it today. I just told them the truth. I'M PRETTY SURE I FAILED, and if I do I'll take it again!

What irks me is the statements like “as much as you've been studying I'm sure you'll pass!”….oh wow thanks for clearing that up for me! :/

    OR…

“REG?? Oh yeah, you'll pass REG!”…. WHAT do you know about me that makes you so sure I'll pass THIS section??? LOL

    That's why I love this site! Everybody's going through the same thing. It's a judgement-free zone! 🙂
