How can I keep this promise?

My husband and I are going to Vegas this weekend to see Andrea Bocelli in concert. We planned this trip many, many months ago, it was very expensive and he is super excited about it. If the NINJAs are correct, and who would ever doubt them, score release will be Friday Dec 6 and Illinois usually releases the next day which will be Saturday Dec 7…concert day. My husband made me promise NOT to check scores until we get home from the trip so that if it is a fail…and I lose my credit for AUD… it won’t ruin our trip. I don’t know how I can keep this promise as I am on pins and needles for the score right now. Should I check the score and ask for forgiveness later? Or wait til I get home? What would you do?

If it is a PASS, it would be so much fun to celebrate the end of this nightmare in Vegas, baby!

Oh that's a tough one!! I would think being in Vegas might make you get over it too if it's bad news and give you an opportunity to celebrate if it's good news!! Then there is that whole good things come to those who wait…. I do not envy this one!! I vote you check it right as you walk out of the show… Best of both worlds?? Good luck either way!! Friday can't get here fast enough!!

Hopeful this time around.... Back after a 2 year break!!

    BEC - Feb 2013 78!!
    FAR - May 2013 76!!
    REG - 70! 71! 80!!
    AUD - Oct 2013 79!!

    FINALLY DONE!!

I say to wait till you get home to look.

I'm not married so haven't been in your exact situation.

But last month my REG score came out the day I took BEC. I'm so glad I waited to look.

And years ago, I had just started my MBA, I met my sister in Vegas. During that time I found out I got a C on an assignment (in statistics – my nemesis). I was upset because I couldn't graduate if my gpa dropped below 3.0 and I was so new to grad school that I was scared of what will happen (wound up graduating with a 3.2). She wasn't supportive.

    Trip was ruined.

    R - 33, 58, 73, 69, 81!
    F - 47, 78! 🙂
After 3 long years, I'm finally DONE!
I could not have done it without NINJA MCQs.

Liss: I am with you on the statistics class. I am working on my masters and statistics is third in the list of core classes (Course 503). Oh, how I HATE statistics! They recommend that you take the classes in order but I am taking 502 and 504 next semester and two electives over the summer. I plan to take statistics dead last and by itself. My plan is to keep my GPA as high as possible so that the statistics class doesn't ruin it altogether at the end.

Wendy and Jenn: I think keeping my promise to my husband will keep me from checking the scores. He is very important to me and I always take pride in doing what I say I will do and keeping promises. I think this was a sadistic request on his part but …c'est la vie!

Maybe I will hit the jackpot and be so busy counting all the 100 dollar bills that I forget to check scores altogether? Hey…a girl can dream can't she! =)

How do you keep the promise? Simple. Give your phone, tablet, etc. to your husband so you are not tempted!!!! Hey, you promised!!! That's one. I'm sure you'll pass. That's two. Enjoy Vegas!!!!

If you need more encouragement, recall how many times the scores were released late anyway?!?! I had to wait like half a day for my last two scores. Don't ruin your trip!!! And most importantly, don't let your husband down.

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)

people don't believe me, but I was not once anxious to check any of my five scores… what's done is done, unless you are prepared to study right there in Vegas after finding out you need a retake.. what's the point?

I've put my fiance through 17 months of hell… at some point, they begin to resent it somewhat too. Don't do it to your guy.

    AUD - 75*, 88 done 5/14! (*exp)
    BEC - 74 , 77
    REG - 65 , 76 (10 point combooo!!)
    FAR - 69 , 75

    Dr: perseverance
    Dr: intelligence
    Dr: luck
    . Cr: . advisory score

I feel for you if you are having to take sadistics. I hated that class with every fiber of my being. I was hesitant to check my last score, well hesitant probably isn't the right word. I was sure I had failed, so I had Sandra, an A71 alum, check my score. She called me to tell me I had passed. I think she was getting a pedicure at the time. When she told me, I was in shock and I think I called her a liar. I'm not sure now. Anyway, it felt good to NOT obsessively hit F5.
