    The first time I took FAR, I got a 71 and then took it again towards the end of the next window and got 86%. The same thing happened with Audit, I got a 72 the first time around and then took it again towards the end of the following window and got 84%. I took BEC on Nov 30th and got a 74%. I’m taking it again the first week of January, so I can take REG by 2/28/16. It seems that it takes me around 5 to 6 months to be ready to pass an exam. How can I break this pattern and pass REG in 2 months without getting a brain transplant? I write a lot of flash cards, so that might have to be eliminated.

    FAR= 72-84
    Audit= 73-82
    BEC= 74-75
    Reg=77

    martin – give some real thought to what you did to pass those retakes. obviously, there is something in your retake method that must be identified and added to your initial attempt. i think you will find that the quality of your studies increased with the retakes and it wasn't just the additional time on the topic. the rut i see with your pattern is that you need a hurdle to jump to make you get serious about the exam. forget the failure hurdle – you no longer have that cushion. find the focus you have been ‘saving' for your retakes and push yourself to a first pass. these are not the qualifying heats, these are the finals and you have to be in them to win them.

    monikernc, I think you have identified my big problem. It seems that I need to fail one time to be able to put some balls into it the second time around. I never thought of it that way, I always thought I needed extra time, but it makes sense because it explains how I jumped from 71 or 73 to high 80s in FAR and Audit.

    Thank you all for the great tips. You guys rock!

    Not sure if you have done this but this worked for me on every test. Do the multiple choice questions. For the ones you get wrong, write down why you get your answers wrong along with a short explanation on how to make it right. Then read over that sheet that night before you go to bed. I went through about 20 legal pads my whole journey. I did progress tests on all of the materials until I was reaching in the 90s in each test.

    FAR - 84
    REG - 86
    AUD - 90
    BEC - 88

    KO the test in 5 months even though I am a dummy!
