    Hi there,
    Anyone living in Houston?
I’m scheduled to retake FAR next Wed and i’m hoping the roads will be okay.
Is anyone scheduled to test over the weekend or Monday?
    Be safe!
    Rachel

As of now, they've only cancelled testing through today, 8/26. I'd keep an eye out on the Prometric site closure site. Depending on how much rain we get in the Houston area, I'm sure they'll wait until the day before to announce any closures. Stay safe!

I too am scheduled to take FAR this week in Houston, Thursday 8/31. On Friday I spoke with the prometric center and they said we should receive an email at least 24 hrs in advance if the office will be closed on exam day. They also told me that testing can be rescheduled free of charge and that the in the past the window of time to take the test has been extended when there is a natural disaster like this. Hope you are safe, the devastation here is heartbreaking.

Yes. I am scheduled to take REG on 9/2 and I was just thinking if I will need to reschedule but then decided to wait for 2 more days since I am not sure how the roads will be and usually the Harwin area floods bad.
I hope everyone is staying safe

Are you guys able to study. In the beginning I said it is a good chance to be home but I can't help checking the news and the neighborhood, it is so stressful

I'm having a hard time studying! Between tornado warnings and touching base with friends and family I can hardly focus. Hopefully by the 2nd for your exam streets won't be as flooded, not so sure about by my exam date but I guess we will see. For now I will wait and see if the center closes, I'm sure that NASBA is well aware of the situation down here. Stay safe and use caution!

we live in the united states NOT some 3rd world country. If you have your exam 5 days from now (9/2) why are you freaking out? Did the prometric building blow away or get destroyed ?

Shawn what's going on in Houston right now fairly well rivals Katrina. Sam Houston parkway has water up to the streetlights and they've still got easily three days of rain ahead of them. Basically Houston and surrounding areas are a third world country right now.

Pharoh- Im scheduled to test at Harwin as well!

It's been really tough to study but i'm doing the best i can. It's been nice touching base with friends. I'm very lucky to be safe and dry. The pictures are insane!

Texas people just remember safety is the most important thing. I'm so sorry you're going through this and am sure test wise it'll work out somehow, just focus on your priorities.

I guess I am going to reschedule, schools are closed the whole week and they just announced evacuation for Fort Bend county, not really sure where to go yet, the whole situation is not ideal for studying.

I'm so sick of studying already!!!

Pharoh- have you been checking the prometric site? So far nothing is listed for 8/30 and later so fingers crossed.

I feel horrible being concerned about my exam when there are people who have water in their home.

    Ugh.

I got my NTS confirmation so I'm hoping it is still a go.

@shawn in VA-Texas flooding from Hurricane Harvey has been described as catastrophic, so living in the US may have nothing to do with the fact that mother nature dumped 50+ inches on the area… and it keeps going….
