Hello everyone,

I’ve got about 3 hours until I intend on digging into my first section at lunch. I just haven’t decided which one I’m going to do. I’ve got 7 weeks until I start my B4 audit gig (with 3 weeks being full-time studying) so I was thinking it’d be nice to have (fingers crossed I passed BEC) 3 parts out of the way.

AUD stuff:

I know absolutely nothing. Took one audit class in college and got a C. Maybe it’d be good to actually learn audit stuff before starting? I’ve also heard it’s much easier for people that have audit experience, so maybe I could take it right after busy season when I actually have learned audit stuff?

FAR stuff:

Would that be enough time? It’d be 8-9 weeks, with 3 being full-time. The other time it’d be ~20 hours per week. Just worried since it is SO much material. Will I even have time to study the first couple of weeks at B4 before my test, which will probably be Oct. 3?

Anyway, I’ll leave it to you all. Please, tell me which one.

The general consensus on here is to take FAR before AUD, since there is some overlap. I was just debating this same thing last week, especially since I have already taken AUD twice. I opted to take FAR at the end of October, which will give me 9 weeks of studying in the evenings/weekends, around 20-30 hours per week.

I vote for FAR. It really makes a difference on the next exam if you follow the “recommended” order. It has saved me time on the overlapping material. 8-9 weeks for FAR is enough in my opinion, maybe because I start forgetting material if my study period lasts too long.

Of course, I never feel prepared before my exam and wish I had 4 more weeks 🙂

I say FAR also.

The material does overlap somewhat with AUD, but the big issue is that a lot of the AUD sims are FAR related.

Also, FAR is a beast. Getting it done will give you a huge sense of relief!
