    Hey guys,

I’ve got an interview coming up for a really good accounting position, but unfortunately for me part of the interview includes a test on double-entry bookkeeping and journal entries. The problem is that I’ve been working as an auditor for the past two years and haven’t had to use any of this knowledge since taking the CPA exams and I’m having amnesia!

My Becker has expired and I don’t have access to any of my old accounting books. I’m going to head down to the library and see what I can scrounge up, but does anybody have any advice on where I can go online to brush up?

I REALLY want to get this job and I remember all the basics with regards to double entry and journal entries, but it’s so easy to forget/get confused when you haven’t practiced in a while.

I would be eternally grateful for any tips/advice as to how I can best brush up on this over the next two days.

The recruiter who helped me get the interview said to brush up on deferred income because that trips a lot of people up if that gives you any idea of how in depth I need to study. PLEASE HELP ME, I want this SO bad.

The best advice I can give is to look at this site to start getting refreshed.

    FAR: 63, 55, 62
    REG: 65, 77*
    AUD: Fail, 64, 71
    BEC: 72, 74, 81

That's excellent golfball7773! Thanks for that, really appreciate it!

If anybody else has any suggestions please feel free to add, all help is greatly appreciated. I'm also really hoping to find a way to test myself, so if anybody knows how I might go about doing that other than trying to make up questions myself.

Bust out your intermediate accounting textbook.

@brooks303 That was my first though, but I'm interviewing out of the country and don't have access to any of my books (wasn't informed there would be a test until I got here).

Went down to the library to see if they had any there, but all they had in their accounting section was bookkeeping for dummies and a how to book on how to use SAGE. So no luck there.

Still searching for some way to test myself online. Once I look at the journal entries for transactions it starts coming back to me, but it's one thing to know it when you see it and an entirely different thing to know it by heart (which is what I'd like to be able to have by the time I interview).

I heard people using this Encyclopedia of Journal Entries.
